No one sees the pain behind my smile,

No one understands what it is,

No one has the time for me,

No one stops by to ask

what I need!

All I need is someone to hold my hand.

There is nothing more assuring

than having someone's fingers intertwined with yours

It makes you feel like

everything is okay and 

there is nothing to worry about,

One finds comfort in a togetherness,

You don't feel cold any longer

when you have the warmth 

of someone's hands in yours,

You no more feel scared and alone

when you have someone to tell you

that he won't let go of your hand,

that he will hold you tight.

I long for someone to hold my hand too,

I cry yearning for a hand,

knowing that if I have a hand to hold mine

my tears too will be gone

and my broken heart will get mended

I still wait for someone to come to me

someone who won't leave me alone

someone who will hold my hand forever...
